Trade System

The trading system in Overlook RP.

The Trading System was added to Overlook Bay on November 20, 2020, as part of the Trading and Gifting update. Using the Trade System, players can exchange their items for other items, and both parties must agree to a trade before it being confirmed. Players are able to trade each other 6 items at a time.

To begin trading with someone, the player needs to click the player they want to trade with, and then select 'Trade' from the interaction menu, or press 1 for keyboard users. The other player will receive a trade request, which they can choose to either accept or decline. If the player accepts, both players enter the trading menu. From there, each player can add an item by clicking the green "+" icon and selecting the item they want to trade. Clicking on an item in the trade menu removes it from the trade. There is a countdown of 5 seconds, where players can think if they want to do the trade or not. When the countdown ends, it turns into a green 'accept' button, and both users then need to press it for the trade to be successful. If any of the two users leave the game or select the red 'decline' button at any time during the trade, it will not go through.

Value Checker[]

The value checker on the bottom of the trade shows if the trade is "fair", but it is not always accurate as it does not take demand into account.

Note: The value checker only takes into account the rarity of the pets, not the value or demand of the pet. As a result, players will need to decide on their own accord whether the trade is fair or not.

Trivia[]

This section is a trivia section. Please relocate any relevant information into other sections of the article.

  • Items such as fish, seashells, artifacts, gems and fruit are not tradeable.
  • When trading, each player must add at least one item. The system will not allow for a trade if no items are added to the menu.
